Legal Requests for Information
Last Revised: 02/14/2026
Introduction
This page sets out the procedure for authorized authorities seeking information, content, or other assistance from Only Rule 34 in connection with an official investigation or legal matter.
We aim to meet our legal obligations while limiting unnecessary disclosure of information relating to our users. Requests are considered individually and are subject to applicable legal requirements.
International Requests
Requests made by authorities outside the jurisdiction where Only Rule 34 operates may be subject to additional requirements before they can be fulfilled.
Authorities making cross-border requests should provide information demonstrating the applicable legal authority and any relevant international legal process.
How to Contact Us
Official requests should be directed to: admin@onlyrule34.com.
A request should clearly identify the authority making it and the person responsible for the submission.
To avoid delays, please provide:
- The agency or authority's full name;
- The officer's or representative's name and contact information;
- The legal basis supporting the request;
- A precise description of the information or content sought;
- Any relevant account IDs, usernames, URLs, or other identifiers;
- Copies of applicable warrants, court orders, or legally binding documents; and
- Any applicable response deadline.
Where a request is incomplete, we may ask the authority to supply further information or documentation.
Validity and Scope
We assess requests before determining what, if anything, can be disclosed.
Among other considerations, we may determine whether the request has been submitted by an authorized representative, whether the issuing authority can be verified, whether an appropriate legal basis has been provided, and whether the scope of the request is sufficiently defined.
Where legally permitted, Only Rule 34 may seek clarification or challenge a request that is excessively broad or otherwise deficient.
We may refuse requests that are unlawful, insufficiently authorized, or inconsistent with applicable legal requirements.
User Privacy
Only Rule 34 takes user privacy into account when responding to official requests.
We do not voluntarily disclose user information to law enforcement or government authorities unless the disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law. We may also disclose information where necessary to respond to an emergency involving an imminent threat of death or serious physical harm.
Where a valid legal demand requires disclosure, information may be provided in accordance with the scope of that demand. Examples of legal process can include valid warrants, court orders, and other legally binding orders.
If permitted by law, we may notify a user whose information is subject to a request before disclosure occurs.
Emergency Matters
Emergency submissions should only be made when there is an imminent threat involving death or serious physical harm.
The requesting authority should explain the nature of the emergency and provide enough information to establish why the matter requires urgent attention.
Please place Emergency Request in the subject line so that the request can be identified quickly.
Emergency submissions are given priority in our review process.
Information Retention
Our ability to respond depends in part on whether the requested information remains available.
Only Rule 34 retains information for legitimate business, legal, security, and operational purposes for periods considered reasonably necessary. Information that is no longer retained will not be available for production simply because an authority later requests it.
Authenticating Requests
For security reasons, we may verify that an official request genuinely comes from the authority or representative identified in the submission.
A request may be declined where the identity of the sender cannot be established or the requesting party cannot demonstrate appropriate legal authority.
Policy Changes
We may revise this policy when necessary to account for changes in applicable law, regulatory requirements, industry standards, or our procedures for handling official requests.
Updates will be posted on this page, together with the applicable revision date.
